US marshals arrest dog Chapman for extradition to Mexico as demanded by the Mexican government

ABC News--

Duane" dog" and his two sons, Leland and Tim, were arrested Thursday by US marshals from a warrant that was signed by a federal judge in Honolulu issued on Wednesday.

three years ago, Mexican authorities demanded that the Chapmans transfer Andrew Luster to local Mexico police after Chapmans capture of Luster in Puerto Vallarta for fleeing the country on rape charges against three women. The Chapmans refused and were arrested and released on bail, however, they never returned to Puerto Vallarta for their court hearing on July 15, 2003.

" You see what the American government is doing to us? They throw us in jail," Chapman said in a federal courtroom. "I'm so upset about this." "

The Chapmans will face an extradition hearing to Mexico under the terms of the treaties between the US and Mexico governments.

Let's see...bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico, BUMMER. Illegal doesn't make a difference when it comes to immigration so why should it matter if some guy tracks down criminals for a living? At least he pays taxes and rids us of a problem or two.

Two things... Tim Chapman, aka "YoungBlood", coincidentally has the same last name but is not Dog's son. He actually has no blood relation but Dog considers him a brother and treats him as such. His kids consider him their uncle and I'm sure Tim's babies will do the same as they grpw up.
Also, Just so people are aware...Dog and the others were vacationing in Puerto Vallarta not there for the purpose of bounty hunting and didn't know it was illegal in Mexico. So, when the Max Factor heir Andrew Luster, who had been successfully evading US officials for 6 months using the name David Carrera, surfing all day and continuing his rape spree at night, practically ended up in the lap of The Greatest Bounty Hunter alive, Dog Chapman, he did what he does naturally. He took this monster off the streets, escorted him back to the US and essentally put him behind bars for 124 years. He stopped a preditor, one who drugged his victims then video taped his sick rapes of them. He did break the law and he's not above it but you would think that the Mexican Govt could and would offer some type of clemensy considering what he accomplished in the name of justice. He offered some relief for the victims of both the US and Mexico and protected the victims of the country Andrew would have fleed to next. I say thanks and so should Mexico!
