Are we ready for another nuclear war?

Reuters & Yahoo! News--

President Bush on Tuesday said that he refused to rule out nuclear strikes against Iran if diplomacy fails regarding the Islamic Republic's atomic ambitions. When President Bush was asked if the option included planning for a nuclear strike,
" Bush replied: all options are on the table. We want to solve this issue diplomatically and more working hard to do so.

The United States is accusing Iran seeking atom bombs after President Bush declared Iran a nuclear power after it has successfully enriched uranium to the level used in power stations.
" Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said during an armed forces parade on Tuesday that any aggressor would regret attacking the Islamic Republic, which is embroiled in a nuclear dispute with the West. Iran insists its program is civilian despite accusations by the West that it wants atomic bombs."(source)

For country that cannot even secure its own borders, we sure think were smart enough to tell everybody else what to do.

I have to agree with Robin here. We have to close our borders first, find a way out of Iraq without leaving the good people there to the criminal "insurgents" retaliations second (and, of course, without the liberal Dumocrats in Congress, like Kennedrunk, Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, Kerry, et al, saying, "I told you so"), and keep the economy moving onward and upward third.

As for Iran and their nutty leader, we should let Israel take care of them in their own inimitable way as they did at Osirak some 18 or 20 years ago. That little operation shut down Iraq's nuclear program for a good long time. And I'm not sure that Saddam ever did get it back up to what it was prior to Osirak.

Yup. It seems ludicrous to be fighting a "war on terror" while leaving our borders wide open.

Bush IS the terror, or as he said on the news "I am the decider."

Bush needs to go away before he gets us all killed. He seems to think he is the President of the world. His concern should be this country and what goes on inside it, not what everyone else is doing. He is using the same tactic to put us in Iran that he used to put us in Iraq. We need to send him to the Middle East so the target will no longer be on our backs. Heed the words of Jack (A Few Good Men) - 'He should pick up a gun and stand at post.' A generals way of saying - walk a mile in my shoes.

Laura, Before you get too carried away attacking President Bush, think how really bad things would be had Kerry, and AlQaeda Gore before him, gotten elected instead. Thos two appeasers would have MexSpanish as a required subject in school with English as an elective, for starters. The illegals would be crossing the borders as newly minted U.S. citizens without going through the hoops of the naturalization routine. Taxes on the rich (of whom Kerry, Gore, and Kennedrunk are at the top) would be nullified and the lower- and middle-income-class would be raised exponentially. And this is just for starters.

Be very careful what you wish for - you may get it.
