would you still use YAHOO if Microsoft owns it?
Microsoft Corp. has made an unsolicited $44.6 billion cash and stock bid $31 a share for YAHOO on Friday.
The combination of Yahoo and Microsoft would crave Harpold number two player in the online search business currently dominated by Google.
This could be good news for Yahoo has announced Tuesday that it would lay off 1000 employees by mid-February citing what it describes as "headwinds" facing the company.
Yahoo has made some changes over the recent year, such as adding more storage space for its Yahoo e-mail, however, has been unable to control its spam.
In either case, I am a Yahoo user, and the question I have for my readers are...
How do you feel about Microsoft and Yahoo merging?

Not a fan of Yahoo! anyway, and will continue to use Google and most of Google products.
Sadly, MS will destroy any chance Yahoo! has of turning things around. Microsoft needs to focus on the operating system and get back on track. They continue to lose market share and each new product release seems to be more of an insult than a desired purchase.
I'm not a fan of Yahoo! either but they own so many things that they don't cover in Yahoo! branding that I end up using whatever services remain unchanged for the most part (ie. Flickr photo sharing, Del.icio.us social bookmarking, the Flock web browser, and even little things like the foxytunes firefox extension).
MS on the other hand can't seem to keep it's little butterfly (maybe their past that one) wings off of their crap, and I think they are going face some hard truths when they go up against the will of the masses if they try to re-brand any of these things.
What would be hilarious is if Microsoft ended up owning Flock, which is a Mozilla (think Firefox) based web browser. What would they do?!?!
