Duane "dog" Chapman's show "Dog the bounty Hunter" has had his show pulled by the A&E network for racist comments.
The National Enquirer released a recording of the private phone call to his son Tucker urging him to break up with his girlfriend.
The five-minute recording captured Chapman's use of the "N-word" six times.
Even though Chapman has apologized for the use of the word in a "private" phone conversation, several civil rights leaders are requesting that the show be ditched.
granted, the use of the word was wrong, however, this is a PRIVATE conversation between Chapman and his son that was however recorded without Chapman's knowledge and then released to the media.
The result of which resulted in Chapman's show being suspended for an undetermined time.
In Oregon, a person is allowed to record a phone conversation as long as one of the two parties is aware of the conversation.
While I am not a lawyer, I would suspect that releasing a copy of that conversation especially to the media, which resulted in embarrassment to Chapman and the A&E network, in addition to the show being suspended, would be a liability issue to the person who recorded and released the recording to the media.

Today there is no such thing as a private conversation. I agree that this should have never been aired, however Dog should also never have given weight to such language.
Guess our country isn't ready for a black president.
Guess our country isn't ready for a black president.
That's just silly. We have a black SOS (who also happens to be a woman). What the country's not able to deal with effectively is the double standard in which black folks can call each other niggers and ho's but anybody else who uses the terms is dubbed racist.
That's stupid. If you think they're racist terms, then you shouldn't use them in your everyday langage. If you do so, you give permission to others.
Our country is generally adaptable, and so a solid woman candidate for President - or a solid black candidate - would be accepted. Unfortunately, neither Mrs. Bill Clinton nor newbie Barak Obama have the leadership experience required for the job.
Double check your reading of Oregon law.
I think recording a conversation without informing the other party, if you initiated the call, is illegal.
Also, playing a recorded conversation without informing the party being recorded that they're being recorded, on television or radio is a breach of FCC rules.
If it were me, I'd be dialing M Street.
Having a black SOS doesn't mean the country will vote for a black pres. We didn't vote for the SOS. Too many biggots still reside in the USA, sadly.
Biggorty is everywhere not just in the US!
I'm not saying that what Dog said was right however at the end of the day he's a father who was trying to look out for his son.
Words slip out all the time! how many times have any of you said something that you didn't mean and instantly regretted it?? I HAVE!!!
However, there's stil the point of the fact that the 'N' word is always used by black people but when a white person says it, it's being racist! what about when anyone who's not white call us white trash or white boy/girl nobody ever classes that as being racist!
It totally sucks that Dog and his family are having to go through this whole mess!! Don't you think they've been through alot already! I Do!
They need to bring back Dog's show, it's not just dog they are punishing it's his family too.
Dog is a clean white leader trying to improve are trash. Of course like all other leaders some are not perfect to ( fit for society) wich is bull. He made no such comment on tv, and the ones complaining are the racist ones of all. No one else complained because if whites do anything were wrong, that is bull too!! What did I do and I have no rights Get over it It was a long time ago. Now were the ones being ignored and pursacuted.
