if the federal government sues Arizona for enforcing federal immigration laws aren't they in a sense suing themselves?

the LA Times

Consider this... Arizona's immigration law Senate Bill 1070 does nothing more than to give the police the authority where reasonable suspicion exists [and who has been lawfully contacted] that a person is unlawfully present in the United States to determine the immigration status of that person.

Which is really the only thing the Arizona law does is ask for proof of citizenship status such as a driver's license.

The Department of Justice however has threatened to take Arizona to court and here's where an interesting quandary comes to play.

The only thing that the Arizona law does is enforce federal immigration laws

So consider this scenario... the Department of Justice takes Arizona to court and wins. That could set a precedence nullifying our whole immigration system.

Think about it.

The only reasons that the federal government is even upset over the Arizona law is...

1) They claim that the law will lead to racial profiling. [An excuse]
2) They claimed that for fear of prosecution that illegal immigrants will be afraid to report crimes and therefore make them more likely to be victims of crimes. [A valid point, just like any other criminal would be afraid to call the police.]
3) The feds are embarrassed that a state actually took it upon themselves to start enforcing federal laws where the federal government has refused to do so which has allowed the situation to get out of hand.
4) oh yes, it makes President Obama look bad because he has not pursued his "comprehensive" immigration reform policy. In addition, with the majority of the people supporting the Arizona law, it sends a message that AMNESTY is totally out of the question.

So really if anybody's suing anybody, it should be the states suing the federal government for not enforcing immigration laws and not protecting our borders which they are required to do so by the Constitution.

Another failure of the federal government is that employers are required to have an employee fill out and sign a INS I-9 form to document that you have the RIGHT to work within the United States. That's the law! How many times have you heard anybody being prosecuted for falsifying this form? or for that matter... ask to see the form?

Additionally, when's the last time you heard anybody getting prosecuted for falsifying a Social Security number? last time I checked, that was supposed to be a serious crime.

It's going to be a battle... one that I fear could wind up in a civil war if we are are not careful.

First and foremost, not just for the reason of illegal immigration, but also for the security of the nation we have to make it a priority to secure our borders.

You do not know what you are talking about. Really? Get your facts straight before wasting your energy in posting such a weak comment. Criticizing the government like everyone does is not a solution, try to do the job yourself to see how much criticism you will receive, rather than praise. We are a nation where we have to be united, remember the pledge of allegiance… "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

People like you just contribute to hate and racism; I hope you get touched by an angel.

I hope the guy above gets touched by a mack truck crossing a street, one less sympathiser. Hey, what do you call someone who breaks our laws? Oh, that's right, they're called criminals.

And to the guy that's above me...

Guess that makes pretty much everyone a criminal...

Who hasn't J-walked, or sped even 5 miles (if not 20-30) over the speed limit? Who hasn't read their cities/states beautification laws and been in violations of laws? Your argument of them being automatically horrible human beings because they are criminals because they are breaking laws is erronius and specious. If such a standard was followed, a majority of the populace of the United States would be arrested/fined because of the petty laws that we break everyday without even knowing it.

And the fact that you want an anonymous person met with harm (i.e getting hit with a Mack truck) because they have different opinion is disgusting.

Wow and I was about to sign off the internet just now. I learned something even more interesting that I want to share with as many AMERICANS A POSSIBLE..

Apparently, I just learned the following that the government does not create money, we do. How Mortgages are SUPPOSED to work – this is what SHOULD happen:
You sign a promissory note and the bank gives you the “money”.
You then use that “money” to buy the house. The bank still fractionalizes the promissory note and turns the $100,000 into $900,000.The bank then pays the taxes on the $900,000. That is the understanding that is common to the American public about the real estate purchase process. One minor problem:
WRONG!
Pay attention, Mr. and Mrs. America. You are about to receive a lesson in how the banks con America. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION!How a mortgage REALLY works…When a mortgage is created, your signature on the promissory note creates the funds. They did not exist before then. The lender does not transfer “money” – they simply make bookkeeping entries. The promissory note creates an Accounts Receivable with your name on it and that’s what you pay month after month after month. The promissory note also creates an Accounts Payable with your name on it. But you never see that account. It’s the account that owes you money.Did the lender give you the money when you signed the promissory note? Of course not. They “withheld” it from you.The bank then fractionalizes the promissory note.Example: A promissory note for $100,000 becomes $1,000,000 when the bank fractionalizes it.The bank also sells the promissory note. This repays the Accounts Receivable. The Accounts Payable is not abandoned funds. The bank is suppose to send the borrower an IRS 1099A, Notice of Abandonment, but they don’t.When you make a monthly payment to the bank, you are actually paying the TAX the bank owes the IRS for the money YOU created, PLUS interest. Here is one more bit of information of which you were probably not aware:Foreclosures DO NOT hurt banks in any way. They never risked anything for the creation of the “money” and they never lend any “money”. The “money” is created from your signature. When you sign a mortgage note it comes under UCC Article 3. After securitization, it comes under Article 8. Under US law securitization is illegal because it is fraudulent. Instruments such as loans, credit cards and receivables, are securitized. Enron was involved in securitization and someone brought charges against them. But almost all large corporations are doing it as usual business, including the banking system and the government.
Under the constitution, the government was not given authority to create money. It is a power reserved by the people. Article I, section 10 restricted the states from making gold coins.
SO the corporate government has to rely on the deception of people to create money. So the way money is created is to have people sign an IOU, or promissory note. It is not a debt instrument to the one who created it; it is actually an asset. The creator can pass it on for someone else to use. It is negotiable unless it includes terms and conditions as part of a contract. The property belongs to the creator, and the holder is merely using it and any proceeds that come from it should be restored to the creator.
That is the power we have if we realize we have the authority to do this. The intent is to understand the regulations and to see how they are trying to deceive us to believe we are the debtor and the slave and they are the creditor at all times. This is not legally true.
