it's okay to break the law as long as it's a "low priority"

Washington Times --

"This case-by-case approach will enhance public safety..."

The Obama administration said Thursday that it will halt deportations proceedings on a case-by-case basis against illegal aliens who followed in the criteria of having family in the military, being primarily responsible for other family members care (that could be anybody) or attending school.

Homeland [in]security Secretary Janet Napolitano commented that they need to focus on "priorities" (which apparently being in the country illegally does not fall under that category)

the new rules apply to those who have been apprehended and art in deportation proceedings.
"The Obama administration should enforce immigration laws, not look for ways to ignore them,” said Rep. Lamar Smith, Texas Republican. “The Obama administration should not pick and choose which laws to enforce. Administration officials should remember the oath of office they took to uphold the Constitution and the laws of the land."

this president is really working his best to sell out America before the end of his term.

In my opinion, the only GOOD thing that came out of his presidency is that it brings to light that we need to have better controls over our elected officials.

Obamacare is an excellent example of how the government can FORCE the American people to do something that they do not wish to do and when the 11th Circuit Court ruled that the Obamacare is unconstitutional... the White House has vowed to appeal.

President Obama I feel is living in a fantasy world and a world of denial as he puts it towards the recent S&P downgrade from AAA to AA.

Under previous presidents the question had been asked, "are you better off now than you were four years ago?" to "how's that hope and change working out for you?"

Hi Robin,

The Obama administration has been deporting more illegals per year than Bush did. This has disappointed some minority advocacy groups. This is a detail you're not likely to find in the Washington Times.

The Obama administration has been deporting a higher percentage of violent/dangerous criminals than the Bush administration did. This is the right thing to do: use limited resources to deport those who are more likely to harm society than those who are being paid to work here.

I agree that selectively ignoring the law is not good policy.

By the way, you should know that the Washington Times was founded by a well known cult leader ( Rev. Sun Moon ) and continues to exist today only because Moon has poured billions of dollars into supporting it ( the times ). Want to know the truth ? Follow the money

Just for fun I'll break my original comment into bite size pieces - well suited for selective deletion.
